Obituary of John Wands Shields

Shields, John Wands Peacefully with family by his side John Shields passed away on March 10, 2020 at Metcalfe Gardens, St. Thomas. Lovingly remembered by his daughter Sue Sellick and granddaughters Michaela and Jessica Sellick. Predeceased by his brother Bill Shields. Special thank you to all of the staff at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital for their excellent care. Also, to the entire team at Metcalfe Gardens who cared for John to exceptional standards, treating him with dignity every single day. Your compassion is beyond measure. As per John’s wishes cremation has taken place and private family celebration will follow. If desired, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital are appreciated.
