Cindy was a beautiful person. I loved to see her in Sharkey's with her big smile and that wonderful laugh you could hear throughout the entire gym. I will miss her very much. My sincere condolences to Bill and family.

I met Cindy in 1996 when I joined The Canterbury . My mother was diagnosed with cancer and died 3 months later. Cindy was my savior, helping me through a very tough time as she lost her own mother a couple years earlier. It was an instant friendship that never ended. In fact we were BFF's...FB said so in one of those silly quizzes we both did. All my messages or comments to Cindy I used BFF and she did too! She was truly one of a kind. Bill became my trainer and he too became a true friend. My heart goes out to you Bill and your family. She fought a long battle but now she is resting in peace...a beautiful angel and the brightest star in the night sky.
You took such good care of Cindy throughout her journey and now you have your 3 adorable fur babies to love.
You are in my thoughts and prayers as move forward. Take care.
Love Nancy VanDerVeeken

We have such fond memories of Cindy ( and you Bill) not only at Sharky’s but socially, especially the trip to the US to a motorbike show, we never stopped laughing to whole day! To the family we send our deepest sympathy and to Bill and the fur babies we send hugs. You were often in our thoughts, especially when we moved to British Columbia. Currently we are in the UK and are thinking of you and all your family. I can hear Cindy laughing now and wanting the latest update on Downton Abbey.

I knew Cindy for a short time while a client at Sharkys.. She was sweet, inspirational and so kind and caring. Knew that she was battling cancer those many years ago, am so sorry that she succumbed to this awful disease. Sincere condolences to all who loved her and all who will miss and grieve for the amazing woman she was.

I can’t thank Cindy enough for all she’s done for my daughter.
She had a plan was adamant to see it thru
Cindy always had a smile and a laugh to share with everyone
Her and Bill shared a love not very many people get to know.
She will be deeply missed by all

Cindy you were truly my best friend.
You were so special to me and I will miss you so very much. We shared so many fun times together, trips and had so much laughter even on the saddest of times we could find time to share a laugh.
You were always shining bright and spreading light wherever you went.
Thank you so much for being a part of my life, for all the good memories you gave me.
You will be forever missed.
Sending my love and strength to Bill and family through these difficult times ahead.
Much love
Elaine Hyatt

I had the absolute honour of working for Cindy at Sharkys for five years. She was incredibly accommodating and supportive as I worked towards completing my schooling. I will always remember the many laughs (and the Global Donuts) we shared behind the front desk. I will miss her infectious smile and laugh so much. My heart is with Bill Van Hoogenhuize, the pugs, and the rest of her amazing family ❤
