Janina "Babcia" Klub

July 7, 1931 - November 15, 2021

It is with our heaviest of hearts, we say goodbye to Janina Klub, known to many as Babcia on Monday November 15, 2021.

She passed away peacefully at Cambridge Memorial Hospital.

She was a loving wife of the late Mieczyslaw Kowacz (September 1975) and the late Joseph Klub (February 1990).  Cherished mother of Edward Kowacz and his wife Nancy of Whitby and Christine O’Connor and her husband Gordon of Granton.  Devoted Babcia of Aimee Stephens and her husband Richard of Barrie, Linda Boden and her husband Brett of Strathroy and Kandace Cook and her husband Darcey of Lucan and great-Babcia of Madelyn and the late Dylan Stephens (January 2018), Riley, Dallas and Bryce Boden and Sophia and Hannah Cook.  Always remembered by her sister Gina Waller of Chatham Kent, England.  Predeceased by a sister and brother. Will be missed by her longtime friend Walter Zapart. 

She lived a dedicated life to her family, helping everyone.  She loved watching the Sound of Music while eating her favorite strawberry ice cream.

She was born in Poland and fled from her homeland in late 1930’s where a catholic priest Father Lucjan Krolikowski realized there were Polish orphans. They travelled from country to country during the war and fled to Montreal, where the French population and hierarchy took care of them before settling in Brampton, Ontario.

Her life was devoted to showering her three grandchildren with nothing but love and care.

She will be dearly missed by all those who knew her.  Her spirit will remain eternal with in us.

Cremation has taken place.  A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Maximilan Kolbe Parish, 4260 Cawthra Rd., Mississauga on Friday, November 19th, 2021, at 11:00 a.m.  Interment to follow in Assumptions Catholic Cemetery.
