Obituary of Ona Mayme Craig

Peacefully at St. Thomas hospital on August 12, 2022

Cherished wife of the late Jack Craig (1993). Loving mother of Lori and Gary Calvert, Karen and Frank Van Herten, and Michael Craig (Lorry). Proud grandma of Kristie, Greg, Carrie, Peter, and Ellie, and a number of great-grandchildren. Survived by cousin Marjorie Gowdey, sister-in-law Rhea Craig, and brother-in-law Bill Wallis. Predeceased by her brother Donald Muddle, and his wife Ruth.

Ona was a long-time member of St. Andrews United Church in St. Thomas.  She was a resident at Extendicare in Port Stanley. Ona’s family would like to extend a sincere thank you to all of the nurses and support staff for their compassionate and incredible care.

In memory of Ona, donations may be made to the Animal Aid of St Thomas-Elgin, Canadian Cancer Society, Heart and Stroke of St Thomas, or to a charity of your choice.

There will be a funeral service held at St. Andrews United Church at a later date.
