Obituary of Paul Charles Jamieson

JAMIESON, Paul Charles of Dover Centre, suddenly passed away of heart problems on Monday, February 29, 2016. Paul was born in Chatham 58 years ago. He was the son of the late Jack Jamieson (February 25, 2012) and the late Norma Jamieson (November 10, 2015). Paul is survived by two brothers David of Chatham and Peter (Veronica) of Chatham. He has four wonderful nephews and niece, Mathew, Michael, Meghan and Geoff. Paul was a long time Ford mechanic and had been working at Lally Ford in Tilbury. Paul was our little brother that stood the tallest in life and the truest of friend that anyone could have. He was always there for you, willing and ready to support you in any way he could. He might have been quiet but his passion to do good and help others made his brothers and others around him stronger. He never looked for anything in return, he just liked to give of himself to be of help to others. Paul was a very kind and big hearted person. He loved his fishing and times that friends took him boating. I know he cherished all of the good times and trips he shared with his likeminded car enthusiastic friends. I do not think there was one car he owned (or his father owned) that he did not take apart and put back together at least once. He loved a good joke or to pull an odd prank, but his laugh would make you laugh. The family is very grateful that Paul was surrounded by his work family and for the care they shared, doing everything they could to help Paul in his final moments. We would also like to thank the EMS workers and police that reacted so quickly to help Paul have a chance. Paul will continue to help others through his gift to the Trillium gift of Life Network. It is very sad that Paul is no longer with us, we can hear the sounds already of his silence. The family will receive friends and relatives at BOWMAN FUNERAL HOME, 4 Victoria Ave. (519-352-2390) on Sunday March 6, 2016 from 12 noon - 2:00 pm followed immediately with a funeral service at 2:00 pm in the funeral home. Pastor Mike Maroney officiating. Cremation to follow. Paul had a great love for all animals especially cats and dogs and so any donations may be directed to the Chatham Kent new animal shelter.
