Obituary of Richard Erickson

ERICKSON, RICHARD With his wife, daughter, son-in-law and brother by his side, Richard (Rick) slipped his earthly bounds to join his mother, father and eldest brother Thursday, August 6th 2015 at the age of 64. Born in Chatham September 1st, 1950 to the forever missed Fred and Eileen (Hale) Erickson, Rick spent his younger years with his two brothers William (Bill, deceased in 2001) and Eric and many childhood friends in the Northside of Chatham on Bedford Street. He is survived by his eternally beloved wife Linda (Feltz) Erickson, his daughter April (Erickson) Colby, his son Richard Jr. Erickson, his son-in-law Joe Colby and is fondly remembered and will always be missed by his only grandson Joey Colby. He will also live on in the memories of his mother-in-law Elizabeth (Hartman) Feltz, brother Eric Erickson, sister-in-laws Dawn (Grand) Erickson, Rose Anne (Fletz) Dias, Kathy (Feltz) Winger and her spouse Jack Golinker, and brother-in-law and sister-in-law Rick and Lori Feltz. Also remembered by his many nieces and nephews. Rick loved the outdoors. In his mind, time was always best spent hunting, fishing on his boat or sitting by his pond watching his turtles, fish and ducks with his grandson. The family welcomes those wishing to remember the good times they had with Rick to visit Bowman Funeral Home, 4 Victoria Avenue, Chatham (519-352-2390) Tuesday, August 11th from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. A celebration of life will be held at the funeral home Wednesday, August 12th at 11 a.m. with reception to follow at the Kent Cloverleaf Conservation Club, 9092 English Line, Chatham, Ontario.
