Obituary of Lloyd Garrod

GARROD, Mr. Lloyd, a resident of Chatham passed away Sunday June 14, 2015 at Meadow Park Nursing Home. Son of the late Roy and Margaret Garrod. Husband of Patricia for 60 years. Father of Kenneth (Anne) of Amherstburg and Donald of Windsor. Papa of Samantha, Jocelyn and her husband Tom and Rebecca. Brother of Jackie Walker, Geraldine Deneau and Gerald Garrod. Brother in law of Doreen Murphy, Phyllis Carther and Josie Sladek. Predeceaced by brothers in law Walter, Alex, James, Lanny, Herbert, John and Larry, sisters in law Marion, Maxine, Margaret and Linda. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Lloyd served loyally for the Corporation of the City of Chatham for over 40 years. He had a keen interest in NASCAR racing and owned several racecars. The family will receive friends and relatives on Tuesday June 16, 2015 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at BOWMAN FUNERAL HOME, 4 Victoria Ave (519-352-2390). A funeral will take place Wednesday June 17, 2015 at 11:00 am in the funeral home. Interment to follow in Maple Leaf Cemetery. Donations may be directed to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
