Obituary of George Vroom

VROOM, Mr. George (Tjipke) CKHA Public General Campus while surrounded by his family Monday April 13, 2015. Husband of the late Douwina “Wyn” for 58 years. Father of Peggy Rauwerda (Derrick) of Chatham, Richard of Chatham, Christopher (Hennie) of Port Perry, John (Jennifer) of Ottawa, and Colette of Chatham. Grandfather of Jonathan (Kelly), Rachel, Scott, Pascal, Katelyn and Owen. Great grandfather of Avery. Son of the late Onne and Klaaske Vroom (Hoogsteen), Brother of the late Donald, the late Bernard, John , Henk, Bill , Pete, Andy, the late Hilda Van Wyk, Ann Esser, the late Joseph, Gail Wiersma, and James. The family will receive friends and relatives Friday April 17, 2015 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at BOWMAN FUNERAL HOME, 4 Victoria Ave (519-352-2390). A funeral will take place Saturday April 18, 2015 at 11:00 am at First Christian Reformed Church (25 Tweedsmuir Ave East). Interment in Maple Leaf Cemetery at 10:00 am. Memorial contributions may be directed to First Christian Reformed Church - “The Friendship Group” (a program for persons with disabilities).
