Obituary of Margaret Martin

MARTIN, Mrs. Margaret “Peggy” a resident of Chatham passed away, Born in Aberdeen Scotland, daughter of Alexander Adams and Jane Beattie. Wife of the late William F. Martin. Mother of Joyce Martin-Bruce and Donald Martin. Grandmother of Michelle Tetrault and Matthew Martin. Great grandmother of Dylan and Jocelynn Tetrault. Also survived by sister in law: Betty Adams of Chatham, nieces Heather Greenfield of London, Christine Martin of London and Sandra Charron of Chatham. Predeceased by brothers Alex Adams and John Adams and sister Jean Lewis, brother in law Fred L. Martin, sister in law Mary Martin, nephew Bryan, niece Jill, and son in law Douglas H. Bruce. Peggy was an active member of St. Paul’s Congregational Church for many years, volunteered with Meals on Wheels, St. Andrews Residence and The Heather Club. She was a member of the Active Lifestyle Centre in the Choir and Maple City Swingers and the Chatham Kent Quilters Guild. Sincere thanks to the wonderful care given by the staff at Meadow Park Nursing Home and special thanks to Dr. Dave Lapierre. The family will receive friends and relatives Tuesday March 24, 2015, from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at Bowman Funeral Home, 4 Victoria Avenue (519-352-2390).. A funeral will take place Wednesday March 25, 2015 at 12:00 noon from St. Paul's Congregational Church (450 Park Avenue, West). Private family interment will take place at Maple Leaf Cemetery.
