Al was one of my best friends and mentors. I remember him telling me the funniest joke in about 1986 and I still tell it to people today and laugh ... not at the joke but at our friendship. I showed up at his house on Christmas Day once - we shared stories and he helped me always.
One time at McDonalds, a woman with a baby asked him to warm up her baby's food... he spilled it all over him by accident and even though it was only a small jar you would have thought someone threw a full bucket on him as it was in his hair and shoes and back! We laughed and laughed at it....
He told me a funny story about a Christmas Day when Bobbi was a young, young kid. Bobbi apparently broke a toy truck and was really upset. Al fixed it with Super Glue but apparently touched a tool with superglue on his fingers - it turns out that the screw driver was stuck to his fingers and he couldn't get it off! So his wife kept telling him to putit down and he was getting mad because he couldn't (she didn't realise it was glued to him!).
HE told me another time about when he was coaching hockey. A huy hurt his wrist so Al started rubbing it to make it feel better. The huy started screaming and Al said "It's okay - just get back into the game!" Then Al said he looked down and the bone was broken and sticking out of the skin! Then the two of them both saw it and they started laughing away....
I just can't tell you how many times that man had me laughing uncontrollably...He's probably stuck at HEaven's Gate right now - not because they won't let him in but because he's weaving a fantastic tale and telling stories to the Angel's - they all are gathering around wanting to hear more about his fantastic life

I had the opportunity of working with Al within a security contract team at Navistar. Al was a very hard worker, dedicated to his position always willing to go above and beyond. He always had a laugh to share with everyone. He was a great man! So sorry for your loss.

So sorry to hear of AL passing. I used to be one of his supervisors at Navistar in security, and we had many great times. I used to call him the President of the New York Rangers fan club, Chatham chapter. I used to see him from time to time and always got a laugh from him. Al was always fun to be around and hard to believe he is gone. I will miss him. My condolences for your loss.

To the extended family of Al Fournier, I offer my condolences. I first met Al when he was a manager at MacDonald's Restaurant, back in the 1980's and I was employed there for about four years. Al was always fair to me and was a good manager.
I also had contact with Al in later years, when he and I were members of Branch 28 Royal Canadian Legion. Al was a regular card player there on most Saturdays. I also saw Al from time to time at the downtown Tim Horton's. I had heard Al had been suffering of late, so I hope now that his soul is at peace.

We are so sorry for your loss. We met Al through Julie and will miss his big smile and his sense of humour. I will always remember his generosity and the time he walked into my Mother's with a birthday cake for her and a funny story of how he got it. We were really lucky to have known him.

Forever loved; missed until we meet again, Al, my brother. I am glad you are free now. Glad you are seeing the ones we love. Sad for me, though, so remind me that you're still around. By the way, you still have to teach me Poker!
