Obituary of Emily Hulaj

Peacefully, at Caressant Care Bonnie Place, St. Thomas on Sunday, September 18, 2016, Emily Hulaj, of West Lorne, passed away at the age of 93. Predeceased by her husband John Hulaj (1986). Loving mother of Linda (Paul) Verbrugghe, John Hulaj (predeceased in 1975) and Jane (Cam) Edwards. Cherished grandmother of Michelle, Jeremy, Paula and Greg (Diana) Verbrugghe, Blair (Angela) Edwards and Erin (Tom) Edwards. Proud great grandmother of Rowan Verbrugghe and Logan Edwards. Survived by a brother in law, sisters in law and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Jakub and Hedviga Formanek and by her brother William (2014). Emily’s acts of service were many and included her work with St Mary’s C.W.L for more than 50 years. She gave great care to all of her family over many years and generations. Her steadfast ways, love and strength live on in all of us. Relatives and friends will be received at DENNING’S OF WEST LORNE, 202 Main Street, West Lorne (519-785-0810) on Wednesday, September 21, 2016 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will commence at 11 a.m. from St. Mary’s Catholic Parish on Thursday, September 22, 2016.
