Obituary of Harold WALKER

WALKER, HAROLD On October 30, 2017, surrounded by his family, Harold ascended to the eternal plowing match above. He is sadly missed by his loving wife Pat and daughter Brenda & partner Jim Duffy, with adoring grandchildren Patrick and Ali. He is also survived by sisters-in-law and bothers-in-law Peggy and husband Larry Payne, Cathy Forbes, Nancy Sharp, Donna and husband John Rice, Bob Sharp and wife Linda, Raymond Howald and partner Val, Bill Howald and wife Lori as well as several nieces and nephews. Harold worked at S&B Construction for many years. He was a member of the Ontario Plowmens’ Association, the Elgin County Plowmens’ Association, and Plains Baptist Church. He and Pat were avid campers at Springwater Conservation Area. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will take place at Plains Baptist Church in Union on Friday, November 3, 2017, at 3:00 pm with a light lunch to follow. Many thanks to the doctors and nurses of both St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital and University Hospital in London, and special thanks to Nurse Kim and Crystal Payne for their participation in Harold’s care. In lieu of flowers, in memoriam donations may be made to Animal Aide St. Thomas or Plains Baptist Church General Fund would be appreciated by the family.
