To all the Humboldt Broncos family and friends,
I have to admit I am not a big hockey fan, I can't even skate. I do not have sons of my own, nor have I ever laced up skates or washed jerseys. But I am a daughter, a sister and a mother .... and my heart is breaking for you.
In the past I may have wondered what good would putting out hockey sticks, or wearing a jersey for a day do. But I can tell you this, we did these things. We did these things as we spoke to our young daughters about your boys. We spoke about the tragic accident, about how unfair things happen to good good people, how beautiful young souls can be taken from us far too soon, how sometimes life can be so unfair. Your boys are teaching us how we should cherish this life we have, how we need to be kinder to each other, and how we need to support each other.
I am sending you my thoughts, best wishes, prayers and condolences.
From our family to yours.

My children's high school motto is "Fortis in Concordia" which translates into "Together we are Stronger" ., We sincerely hope you can feel the love, support and prayers from across the country you have been receiving over the last week and in the days & years to come. We are all here for you and together we are stronger. Love and prayers to each and everyone of you
