September 4, 1958 – April 24, 2018

Peacefully, at St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital, on April 24, 2018, Dwight Philip Sykes, of St. Thomas, passed away in his 60th year.  He leaves behind his wife, Jan Sykes and daughters, Haley and Alyson Sykes.  Dear son of Joyce and Phil Sykes.  Survived by his siblings and their families; Debra Armstrong, Dawn (Mark) Perreaux, David Sykes and Dean (Jenn) Sykes.  Survived also by aunts and uncles; Morris Downey, Ernie Downey, Larry Downey, Garry Downey, Shirley Turner, Vivian Barwick and Barb Davies.  Dwight is predeceased by his brother, Darryl Sykes, grandparents, Lawrence and Ella Downey, George and Edith Sykes, uncles, Marvin Downey, Jim Downey, Les Downey, Lyle Downey and Les Sykes and by his aunt, Marion Good.  Dwight was born and raised in Manitoba moving to St. Thomas in 1997.  During his career, he worked with Cando Contracting Ltd., farmed and had an independent trucking company, Pepe Logistics.  Cremation has taken place.  Arrangements entrusted to St. Thomas-Elgin Cremation.
