Obituary of Donald "Don" Macphee

It is with profound sadness the family of Don Macphee announce his passing on July 11, 2016 at the age of 63 after a brief illness. Cherished husband of Louise (Healey) Macphee for 38 years. Devoted dad to Donnie (Rosie) of Charlottetown, Mark (Danielle) of Kelowna and Steven (Alyssa) of London. Proud grandpa to Kaylee, Carter and Taya. Don worked for 40 years at General Motors/General Dynamics in London. He loved his Steelers, Leafs, music, books and his truck, but most of all, he loved our boys, their loves, kids and dogs coming for a family fling at the “Eagle Estate”! Waiting at the door is his loyal lab Manny and kitty, Kia. Best brother to Helen (David) McAllister of Wasaga Beach, Janet (Albert) Van Wyk of London and Jacqueline (Hugh) McReynolds of Cochrane. Brother in law to Bill (Gale) Healey of Oakville and Jerry Healey of Utah. Fondly remembered by family in Glasgow, Scotland. Special thanks to the palliative teams of C.C.A.C., V.O.N. and Four Counties Hospital. Relatives and friends will be received at DENNING’S OF WEST LORNE, 202 Main Street, West Lorne (519-785-0810) on Friday, July 15, 2016 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where the Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, July 16, 2016 at 11 a.m. Cremation to follow with private family interment at St. Peter’s Cemetery, London.
