Obituary of James David Woods

With profound sadness we announce the passing of James “Jim” “Woodsy” Woods after a courageous battle with cancer on Sunday, April 22nd, 2018 at the age of 62.  Eldest son of Irene (nee Hewitt) and Alfred Woods. Loving husband of Shannon (nee Bell). Cherished step-dad to Chad Côté. James will be forever remembered by his much loved in-laws Fred and Mary Anne Bell, and Donna and Ken Remsik. James is survived by his brothers Jerry and Cheryl, and Blake and Doreen. He was “Uncle Jim” to his two nieces, Rachel and Sarah. James spent 26 years teaching in Chatham-Kent. He immensely enjoyed travelling, camping, and was very passionate about nature. The family wishes to thank all of the physicians, nurses, and personal support workers who showed such care and kindness towards James. As per James’ request cremation has taken place.
